Athletes can’t always live a carefree life after their careers end. That’s why the charity organization “Hokeja atbalstam” has committed to helping Latvian hockey veterans who need support with obtaining food and medication.

🎯 The mission of the “Hokeja atbalstam” organization is to provide support to former hockey players by covering medical expenses and resolving social problems. The association’s ultimate goal is to ensure that hockey veterans are supported and appreciated, while at the same time popularizing the culture and traditions of Latvian hockey.

🏥 With the help of the organization, regular medical examinations are carried out for Latvian hockey veterans. The association’s mission is to identify Latvian hockey veterans who need immediate medical assistance (examination, medication, etc.), as well as to ensure medical rehabilitation.

📍 Throughout the month of April, our international children’s and youth hockey tournament, “Riga Hockey Cup”, will be held in many hockey arenas in Latvia, including the “Volvo SC” ice rink. Throughout the tournament, a DONATION box will be placed in the lobby of the "Volvo SC" ice rink. Donations are intended for Latvian hockey VETERANS to support their health (medical and treatment expenses, etc.).

Donating to support hockey veterans is also possible on the website www.hokejaatbalstam.lv. In the upper right corner of the page, there is a "DONATE" button. Clicking on it will bring up a menu where you can enter the desired amount, then fill in the indicated fields, and that's it.
