EUROPE`S LARGEST YOUTH HOCKEY TOURNAMENT ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

For the 15th time RIGA HOCKEY CUP will take place in Riga – an international youth hockey tournament that brings together more than 270 teams from around the world, around 5000 participants from 23 countries will come to this grand event this spring. Tournament organizers have announced the signing of a contract with the long-term partner True Hockey, an American hockey equipment manufacturer, to continue cooperation also in 2020.

About RIGA HOCKEY CUP:

The International Hockey Tournament TRUE RIGA HOCKEY CUP is the largest youth hockey tournament in Europe and will attract a record number of participants this year. RIGA HOCKEY CUP 2020 will take place in Riga and near Riga from April 3 to May 3, bringing together youth of different ages from all over the world. Number of players in the tournament will be more than 5500 players and around 4000 parents and fans representing 274 teams from 23 different countries: Latvia, Czech Republic, Sweden, Belarus, Lithuania, Russia, Austria, Estonia, Ukraine, Poland, Finland, Slovakia, China, Croatia, France, Denmark, Switzerland, Norway, Hungary, United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands and USA. The most represented countries in the tournament are Finland (29 teams), Sweden (28), Russia (20), Belarus (16) and of course Latvia (75). ANfter a longer break participation was approved by a team from the US and 2 teams from China.

RIGA HOCKEY CUP 2020 will be the biggest tournament in its history to date, with over 800 games scheduled in 8 ice arenas over a 5 week period. Records have also been set for individual tournaments – Week 2 U13/U15 Group Tournament with 72 teams, Week 5 U14AAA/AA Group Tournament with 50 teams.
