As Riga Hockey Cup 2025 has come to an end, WE ARE filled with pride, gratitude and admiration. What an unforgettable journey this has been!

 

This year, we hosted a record-breaking 273 teams from 20 different countries. Over the past 16 days, we witnessed an incredible 1073 games played across many arenas – a milestone that marks the largest event in Riga Hockey Cup history. With 838 bus transfers, 25'705 meal portions served and many more things, the scale of this year’s tournament speaks volumes about the dedication and coordination behind the scenes. Your energy, passion and dedication have made this tournament more than just a competition; you’ve made it a celebration of international sportsmanship, camaraderie and the enduring spirit of hockey.

 

To every player who gave their all on the ice, to every coach and family member who stood behind them – huge thank you! You’ve made this tournament as unforgettable experience. Your passion on the ice – and more than anything, the sense of togetherness off it – truly inspired us. We were there with you through tough losses and amazing wins, and your tears – whether from joy or heartbreak – made us fall in love with the hockey every single day even more.

 

A massive thank you goes to our incredible staff. Your months of planning, long days and tireless work behind the scenes made this event possible. You are the heart of this tournament!

 

To our referees and officials, your fairness and professionalism upheld the integrity of every match and we’re grateful for your vital role.

 

And to our supporters and volunteers, thank you for bringing energy to every arena. Whether you cheered in the stands, helped organize logistics or simply encouraged a young athlete – you made a difference.

 

As the ice melts and the gear is packed away, the memories we’ve created here in Riga will remain. This tournament has shown us once again that hockey is more than a game—it’s a community, a global family brought together by a shared love for the sport. Let's never forget that sport is not just about achievements, but about the inner fulfillment it brings – about every day in which we overcome ourselves!

 

Next year will mark the 20th anniversary of Riga Hockey Cup – a major milestone. So consider this as invitation: join us again, bring your teams, your passion and most importantly – your love for the game. Together, let’s make Riga Hockey Cup 2026 a truly unforgettable celebration of two decades of hockey excellence!
