Received permission from authorities to organize Riga Hockey Cup Summer Edition 2021

GOOD NEWS: RIGA HOCKEY CUP SUMMER EDITION 2021 will take place on the dates planned above:

- 20-22 August 2021: for groups U11 (2011), U13 (2009), U15 (2007);
- 27-29 August 2021: for groups U12 (2010), U14 (2008), U16 (2006).

An agreement has been reached between the organizers of the tournament, the Latvian Hockey Federation, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Latvian Ministry of Health and the Centre for Disease Prevention and Control on the process of the tournament.

The tournament will be organized as a pilot project for the development of an epidemiologically secure international youth hockey indoor competition (Cup) without the presence of spectators, examining the adequacy of certain types of epidemiological security measures, as long as indoor competitions are not permitted under general national regulation. The results of the pilot project will be used for the development of safety guidelines for children and youth hockey competitions, as well as for the transfer and use of experience for other team sports competitions.

The tournament's organizers will contact with team representatives from teams that have already applied for the tournament and will provide more detailed information on the course of the tournament, specific requirements and conditions for the team to be approved to participate in the tournament.
